A device that automatically dispenses pool chemicals at a controlled rate.
Definition
Chemical feeders include erosion feeders (for solid products), peristaltic pump systems (for liquid chemicals), and ORP/pH automated controllers. Automated chemical feed systems monitor ORP and pH in real time and inject the appropriate chemicals to maintain setpoints. These are common in commercial pool operations and increasingly available for residential pools. They reduce manual chemical handling and maintain more consistent water chemistry than periodic manual addition.
